In Debden Park High School “leaders have successfully established a school where high aspirations and excellence are the norm, and where pupils and staff enjoy coming to work…. The buzz, enthusiasm and energy from staff at all levels is palpable”
Ofsted January 2017
We are looking to appoint an exceptional and driven professional who will join a highly successful, enthusiastic and talented team and work with us to inspire our students. The role will involve teaching Business at KS4 and KS5 as well as Economics at KS5. Working together with our team, the successful candidate would be involved in the perpetual review and design of a broad and challenging KS4 curriculum to prepare students for our popular and extremely successful Business and Economics courses at KS5.
Debden Park High School is a heavily oversubscribed Academy that Ofsted judged to be Outstanding in January 2017. We constantly achieve outstanding outcomes for our students. Business and Economics both achieve consistent results above the National average at A Level, with many students going on to focus on Business or Economics at degree level or beginning degree apprenticeships in this field. We believe our exciting curriculum including a residential to Newquay, visits from entrepreneurs and exciting projects foster a passion for both subjects for the future.
We are a passionate and energetic team, who work collaboratively across curriculum areas, are well resourced and dedicated to developing the full potential of our students. The successful candidate will join an already outstanding team and will be someone who is visionary, innovative and committed to moving learning forward in an exciting and active way. As a team with experience in industry outside of teaching, we are very interested in applicants who might have moved into teaching from the world of business and economics and who can bring the curriculum alive with relevant contextual examples.
We are part of a family of schools within the Kemnal Academies Trust. Every week staff take part in 2 hours of Debden Minds which is a bespoke CPD programme focusing primarily on the development of teaching & learning. We provide exceptional career progression for staff, which leads to our Middle and Senior Leadership teams being composed of many teachers who began their career with us. We lead the Essex hub of the TKAT SCITT.
