Our School Day

Our school Year is split into 6 terms.

Our timetable spreads across 2 weeks. Each day (except Tuesday) is made up of 1 period lasting half an hour which is spent in tutor groups and 5 hour long lessons. Tutors have the opportunity to focus on the academic progress of each student, as well as supporting them with their independent learning and their preparation for their exams and future education. In addition to the learning within the timetabled lessons, there are numerous extra curricular clubs and activities, which enable students to work together across Year groups. They are hugely popular and range from PE clubs, Science Experiments Club, Creative Writing Club, Film Club to a great selection of Expressive Arts Clubs. We pride ourselves on the variety of learning opportunities that are available for students at all times of the day. On Tuesdays the school day finishes at 2.30pm for students to allow staff to participate in an extensive continual professional development programme.
